For Spring/Summer 2012 the Kurt Geiger fashionista discovers her fascination with a rhinestone-studded California. Collections of crystal coated stilettos and pin-up mules sit comfortably in a paradise where the rich and famous mingle and Marilyn Monroe and the late Elizabeth Taylor play out their glamorous guises amidst sun-drenched cityscapes.
‘Everything but the Dress transforms for spring with a kaleidoscope of Dolly Mixture shades whilst accents of scarlet and neon give pace to pretty pastels. Soft but not always sweet, the collection has a refined edgy undertone’ – said Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Creative Director Fusing fragility and provocation, signature stilettos are fashioned in white and soft shades of turquoise, mint, lilac, lemon and pink. From delicate heels to the highest elevations, accents of black, strong metallic details and Perspex add an edge to the entire range. Patent leathers,
see-through Perspex and touch-me suede applied in fluro coloured peep toe stilettos, cork wedges, high tops, belts, bags and pouches take poolside pin-ups to West Coast sports. A vision of a sexy surfer captured in the photographs of Glen Friedman, braided bracelets are the trinket of choice.
Continuing the experimental print work from the debut Everything but the Dress collection, Kurt Geiger’s design team have continued to collaborate with British print designer, Joe Duke.
Kurt Geiger London
Designed in London and crafted in Italy, the signature Kurt Geiger London single-soled stiletto stands as the hero in a multitude of heel heights and colours. Patent and nubuck leathers are laser-cut in Italy to create doily effect broderie anglais, whilst print manipulation of geometric flower patterns realised in satin also hint at the bohemian. The street as the stage continues to be important, so for every fantastical heel there is an array of flats and short heels culminating in a sweet but sharp Neapolitan ice-cream pointed pump.
KG*Kurt Geiger
A game of dress up with scarlet satin or pearlescent glitter ‘Marilyn’ mules, the KG*Kurt Geiger collection plays from satin bows to grown-up guises with Art Deco inspired designs. The collection harbours a futuristic vintage feel with glamour at its heart without forgetting functionality. Raffia lace-ups embellished with rhinestones and a cool Aztec wedge designed to look as if in motion all nod to an elegant sportiness. Ethnic undercurrents run through a collection of cork, stingray textured leather, animal and python prints.
Carvela Kurt Geiger
Jewellery for your feet, Carvela is an embellished collection of rhinestones that appear to float above stiletto sandals and cork wedges, whilst dainty 1920s styles and feminised sportswear take inspiration from the Hollywood Golden Age. The shoes come out to play in a tropical print and palette as sky-high points and midi-heels parade bows in turquoise, coral, lemon, lilac and pink patent that compliment a white glitter-stingray.

Handbags
The ‘Humbug’ collection returns with the celebrated oversized zip clutch and tote reworked in innovative Italian snake-cut leathers, white whips, natural tan and acid yellow nubuck suede. ‘Fizzball’ is newly proposed with a statement chain wrist handle and spring’s silhouette is complimented with the debut of ‘Sylvie’, a slouchy new shopper and compact mini bags with clean chain and smooth studded detail. Matchy and miss matching purses and small leather goods finish a collection of handbags with a chic considered functionality.
Jewellery
Taking inspiration from the late Elizabeth Taylor, jewels stand out with textural combinations of faceted glass crystals with natural grosgrain. Architectural drop earrings, bracelets and necklaces work with ethnic influences. A striking collection of bangles and necklaces combine metal hardware with woven suede and multi-strand chains and leathers with waves of oceanic blues and accents of fluro.

Continuing the cute and playful air, the ‘Candy’ collection steps up a gear with an ironic play on sweetie-shop styling with super luxe striped canvas totes and clutch bags. Candy is an abundance of purse-friendly accessories including pouches, cardholders, technology accessories, belts, pencil cases, trinkets and shoppers in Perspex, embossed snake and silk nylons including the psychedelic print collection.
