Commenting on the GPP, Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of MBRE, said:
“The allocation of 5% of annual procurement contracts from governmental departments to registered members of MBRE will greatly benefit our nation’s entrepreneurs.“

The decision to allocate 5% of annual procurements contracts to MBRE members came directly from H.H. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, UAE Prime Minister, Vice-President of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Janahi praised the great response of numerous government bodies and institutions by making procurement contracts with members of the MBRE, referring to the Emirates Group (Emirates Airline), which made contracts with the Establishment’s members mounting to nearly Dhs105m during 2008, whereas the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) contracts reached almost Dhs63m during the same year.

Al Janahi urged all departments and institutions of the Government of Dubai as well as ministries and federal bodies to increase business transactions made with the member of the GPP and to continue to support the UAE’s youth.
