Parmigiani Fleurier SA, a leading luxury Swiss watchmaker known worldwide as a master of fine, handcrafted timepieces, a frequent contributor and supporter of the independent film industry, recently hosted, the Hollywood premiere and after party celebration for Sony Pictures Classics’ film “An Education” starring Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan and Alfred Molina.

An active supporter of the arts and entertainment community, Parmigiani collaborated with Sony Pictures Classics on the rock and roll documentary “It Might Get Loud” this past June. Over the years, the luxury watchmaker has continuously supported the independent film company’s releases including the Academy Award nominated “Rachel Getting Married,” which starred Anne Hathaway and Debra Winger, “Friends With Money” and “Jane Austen Book Club.”

Directed by Lone Sherfig and written by Nick Hornby, “An Education” stars Carey Mulligan, Peter Saarsgard, Emma Thompson and Alfred Molina in this coming of age story set in 1960s suburban London. Mulligan stars as bright 16-year-old schoolgirl Jenny who has dreams of attending Oxford University whose life changes when she meets a much older suitor (Peter Saarsgaard) nearly twice her age who tempts her with another kind of life.
