Part of MBRE’s UAE National Day celebrations

- The members of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development are participating in Emarati Souk, organized by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, at the JBR Walk from December 2 to 4, 2009. MBRE’s participation marks its celebration of the UAE National Day. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development members are participating at the event by showcasing their products and services at the various kiosks in the traditional souk.
Ibtihal Naji, Manager - Government Procurement Program, MBRE, said: “The Traditional Souk showcases the various facets of our tradition and culture, and is a perfect fit for our UAE National Day celebrations. Our partnership is in line with our commitment to work with different organizations in Dubai to strengthening the participation of UAE nationals in the business sector.”
Participating members include Majeeda al Ali, Mohammed al Khemiari, Rashid Suwaidi, Ahmed Bin Jeteb, Bader Al Ali, Jassem al Zaabi, Radwan Al Housani, Ahmed Al Khaja, Matar Al Housani, Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Hassan al Ahmed, Ali Thanhani, and Ahmed Merdas.
Services and products displayed by the members of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development include rentals of horses and camels, hunt equipments, sweets, silverware, printing national symbols on clothes and wrapping gifts, among others.

In September 2009, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai issued Law No.23 of 2009 concerning the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Size Enterprises, recently renamed the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders.
The law defines the goals of the establishment for strengthening Dubai’s position as a centre for entrepreneurship and allows for the setting up of projects which encourage entrepreneurship and the innovative ideas of youth. This move seeks to motivate youth to work, as well as to pursue economic activity, such as the development and organisation of programmes and initiatives.
