As part of a sequence of workshops organized by Dubai eGovernment to review and rectify data to ensure accuracy, an interactive workshop titled “Moashirat (Government Business Intelligence) Project- Quality of Purchasing & Inventory Data” was recently organized, with the participation of 65 representatives from 15 government departments.
The Moashirat Project workshops aim to establish a unified IT platform for all government departments in the emirate.
The workshops concentrated on the significance of cooperation among government departments to enhance the process of verifying information and completing data, and thus achieving the highest degree of accuracy and validity. The initiative highlighted the importance of elevating the quality of data, which significantly affects the project’s results in terms of performance measurement indicators and improves the decision-making process at various managerial levels.
Ahmed Mohammed Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai eGovernment, said: “Organising these interactive workshops is in line with our quest to promote communication and cooperation among government departments in the emirate, to achieve an integrated platform in providing electronic services and solutions, and to adopt best practices. We aim to provide a unified access point for decision-makers to get the right information according to the highest criteria of quality and performance. Through the ‘Moashirat Project’ we want to focus on the development of our human resources, improve financial systems, support decision making at different administrative levels, and circulate strategies regulating the eTransformation process in the emirate.”
A team from the Human Resource Department of Dubai eGovernment earlier conducted a workshop entitled “Moashirat Project for Human Resources” attended by the HR managers of government departments in Dubai. During the workshop, data forms that needed to be corrected or completed were shown. System courses that needed to be improved and developed to achieve better results in areas such as e-Employment, Employee Training and Performance Evaluation were also highlighted.
Through the “Moashirat Project,” Dubai eGovernment aims to enable the emirate to adopt the best standards and practices in the field, based on its quest to boost the performance, quality and practices of electronic services according to international standards.
Dubai Government departments adopt the GRP (Government Resource Planning) offered by Dubai eGovernment as it facilitates effective and efficient management of government resources and human capital, and provides departments with an integrated suite of services for all resource management (human, financial and material). GRP is based on the accrual accounting system, and reinforces decentralization and self-service within management. GRP offers a framework for planning and local development and saves considerable financial resources for the government as a whole.
Dubai eGovernment revealed that the remainder of the workshop series will deal with other important topics including salaries, charges, and financial affairs, among others.
